Sunday School

The children start the service with their families, and are gathered to the ‘Godly Play Room’ by members of the Ministry Team and other accredited volunteers before the sermon.

One of the members of the Choir leads a song or chorus, a story is told in the Godly Play tradition, and children respond to what they have seen and heard and wondered about with an activity.  

Children are brought back into the body of the church in time to come to the Communion rails with their parents or guardian. On Sundays when there is a baptism the children may be brought back in time to experience the baptism.

As well as engaging the children, Sunday School allows parents time for reflection during the middle parts of the service, including the sermon and prayers, some choral music, and the preparation of the altar for Holy Communion.
